What does a contract review cost?

Pay for what it uses
The most it could cost is set aside, and you’re charged only for what the analysis actually uses. The rest comes straight back.
No charge if it fails
If an analysis doesn’t finish, you aren’t charged, apart from reading the pages of a scanned PDF if that part worked. You keep that text.
Questions as you go
Ask about the contract whenever something isn’t clear. Each answer uses about 64 credits (64p) on a 12-page contract, a little more on longer ones.

Most small businesses review contracts now and then, not every day. With credits you pay when you need a review and nothing when you don’t, and the price follows the work: a short NDA costs less than a long services agreement.

Is LegalSling free?
You can start free. New accounts get 3,000 credits once they confirm their email address, enough for a 12-page contract and about 11 questions, and the sample contracts are always free. After that you buy credits as you need them. No card is needed to start.
How much does it cost to review a contract?
It depends on the length. A 10-page contract uses about 1,900 credits (around £19) and a 40-page one about 7,000 (around £70). Before each analysis starts you see an estimate and the most it could use, and you’re only charged for what it actually uses.
Do credits expire?
No. Credits never expire, and there’s no subscription, so nothing renews and you’re never charged automatically. Buy a pack when you need one.
What happens if I don’t have enough credits?
Your document waits until you top up. Buy a pack and the analysis starts by itself once the payment has gone through, so you don’t need to upload it again.
Can I pay from outside the UK?
Yes. Prices are in pounds sterling and you pay by card through Stripe, wherever you are. Your card provider converts the amount into your own currency.
Is it cheaper than a lawyer?
It does a different job. LegalSling explains a contract and flags points to discuss, for about £19 for a 10-page contract; a lawyer advises you on what to do and charges for their time. Used together, you can send your lawyer a clear brief, so the time you pay for goes on advice rather than on reading the contract from scratch.
