Why LegalSling exists
When a large company sends a contract to a small one, the document was usually written by the large company’s lawyers, to protect the large company. The smaller business is often asked to sign quickly, on standard terms, without the budget to have a lawyer read every agreement it’s sent.
So it’s easy to sign without fully understanding what you’ve agreed to: who carries the risk if something goes wrong, when you’ll be paid, who owns the work, and how hard it is to leave. Those are the things that matter most when a relationship with a much bigger customer runs into trouble.
LegalSling exists to close some of that gap. It gives freelancers, agencies and small businesses an objective, plain-English reading of the contracts they’re sent, so they can see where they stand, ask better questions, and spend their lawyer’s time where it counts.

Honest about limits
LegalSling explains; it doesn’t advise. It says when something isn’t stated, checks every quote against the document, and never pretends to be your lawyer.

A good lawyer is worth it for the contracts that matter. We help you arrive with a clear brief, so their time goes on advice.
Your documents are yours
Contracts are private to your account and used only to produce your review. Delete any of them, or your account, whenever you like.

How LegalSling is built
LegalSling uses Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, to read and explain contracts. Around the AI, we’ve built the checks that make its work something you can rely on as a first reading:
- Every quote it shows is looked up in your document, and every paragraph reference must exist.
- The governing law is taken only from the contract’s own wording. If the contract doesn’t say, you’re told it’s not stated.
- The contract is treated as text to explain, never as instructions to follow, and text aimed at an AI reviewer is flagged.
- The analysis explains and asks questions. It never tells you whether to sign or what to do.
